“The LEGO Experience had a greater impact on us than many traditional training formats before. Our teams didn't just talk about collaboration and dependencies—they experienced them firsthand. What was particularly valuable was how quickly common patterns became apparent and how concretely the lessons learned could then be transferred to our everyday work. The format creates clarity, energy, and a shared understanding that has a lasting effect.”

COLLABORATION. AT SCALE.

LARGE SCALE EXPERIENCE

New Work City is a large-scale Lean-Agile simulation where participants build a shared city out of LEGO bricks in short, iterative sprints. Teams plan, build, review and adapt – experiencing Scrum and scaled collaboration instead of just hearing about it.

HOW IT WORKS

  • 3–4 hour facilitated simulation

  • 100–180 participants

  • Multiple Scrum teams working in parallel

  • Iterative sprints with planning, review &

    retrospective

  • Guided by experienced CALADE Coaches

WHERE IT FITS

  • Transformations

  • Komplex work enviroments

  • Leadership offsites

  • Universities & education programs

  • Internal conferences and large-group workshops

KEY OUTCOMES

  • Self-organization and clear roles

  • Cross-team collaboration and scaling

  • Iterative delivery and Definition of Done

  • High engagement and shared understanding

Why it works

Scaled way of working cannot be learned from slides. This simulation creates real feedback loops, visible progress, dependencies and team dynamics. Learning becomes emotional, memorable and transferable to real work.
